# Foryoueats > A completely free, full featured recipe manager. Import recipes from any website and keep your own editable copy, store unlimited recipes, build shopping lists, and plan your meals — with no paid tier. Foryoueats is a family-run project by Dipesh, Smita and their son Neil. Every feature is free: unlimited recipes, unlimited shopping lists, and the full meal planner. Recipes can be kept private or shared with friends and the wider community, and nutritional data is calculated automatically. Naming: written as "Foryoueats" in prose (one word, only the F capitalised). The logo styles it lowercase as "foryoueats", with "eats" in the brand green (#4a8077). Never "For You Eats" or "ForYouEats". Product vocabulary worth using correctly: - **Foodie Friends** — the social connection between users, for sharing recipes. - **Pantry Pals** — collaborators added to a shopping list. - **Cookbooks** — user-made collections of recipes. - **Cooking Mode** — a step-by-step, screen-on view for cooking from a recipe. - **Pantry Manager** — tracks ingredients on hand, including expiry reminders. - **Meal Planner** — the calendar for planning meals, which can generate a shopping list. ## Features - [Import Recipes](https://foryoueats.com/import-recipes): Import recipes from any website with a single click and secure your own copy, then customise it in the editor.
