This Honey Garlic Chicken is a crowd-pleasing dish that strikes a nostalgic balance between sweet, tangy, and deeply savory. By incorporating ketchup into a classic honey-garlic base, the sauce gains a thicker, jammy consistency and a subtle tomato acidity that cuts through the richness of the honey.

Note: This "Healthier Series" is crafted specifically to seek a balance by reimagines classic flavors through a macro-conscious lens, prioritising high-protein efficiency and calorie control. Hence, they may not be for everyone.

Hanjuku Egg Marinade

Steps

1
Cut the chicken fillet into bite sized pieces and marinate for at least half an hour, less the potato starch
2
Right before air-frying, coat the chicken in the potato starch. Give a light spray of olive oil before frying it at 180 degrees celcius for 20 minutes, flipping halfway. (Do it in batches to avoid overcrowding)
3
Pour the Hanjuku Egg marinade into a separate pan, heat it until the sugar dissolves. Pour into a heat-proof container. Boil eggs to desired doneness in water. Once peeled, put it in the container with the marinade and put a paper towel on top to make sure the eggs are submerged in the marinade.
4
Once all the chicken are air-fried, heat up a large pan/wok and add in the Sauce for the chicken.
5
Once the sauce is bubbling, add in the air-fried chicken and cook until the sauce is thickened/chicken is covered. (The potato starch on the chicken will thicken the sauce, trust the process :D)
6
