Steps

1
Preparing the Mixture
Make Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add beaten eggs and milk to the dry ingredients, stirring until you form a thick batter.
Add Cheese and Herbs: Fold in the shredded mozzarella and chopped green onions or herbs into the batter until evenly distributed.
2
Shaping and Frying
Heat Oil: In a deep fryer or large saucepan, heat oil to 375°F (190°C). The oil should be deep enough to completely submerge the balls.
Form Balls: Using two spoons or a small ice cream scoop, form balls from the batter. Each ball should be about the size of a golf ball.
Coat in Breadcrumbs: Roll each ball in breadcrumbs to coat them completely.
Fry: Fry the balls in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Drain: Remove the fried balls with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
3
Serving
Serve Hot: Serve the cheese-stuffed fried balls hot with your choice of dipping sauces such as marinara, ranch dressing, or a spicy aioli.
