Prepare the fettuccine according to package directions.

On a plate, combine the flour, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken, one breast at a time, pressing to coat with the flour mixture.

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook, turning occasionally, for 8 minutes. Push chicken to sides of the skillet. Add the garlic and cook, stirring frequently, for 1 minute. Add the garlic and cook, stirring frequently, for 1 minute. Add the chicken broth, lemon juice, and basil and/or oregano. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 4 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink in the middle.

Evenly divide the fettuccine onto 8 plates. Top each with a sliced up chicken breast and drizzle with the broth mixture.
