Steps

Slice onions into thin rings or straws. Place onions in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Soak 20–30 minutes.

In another bowl, mix flour, pork rinds, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Remove onions from buttermilk and toss in the flour mixture until coated.

Air Fryer: Spread onions in a thin layer in the basket. Spray lightly with oil. Air fry at 350°F for 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway.

Salt immediately and serve.
