1. Bread shape - about 35cm / 14" long, 4 - 5cm / 1.5 - 2" thick.
You want a bread that's not too tall / thick otherwise you'll feel like there's not enough butter to bread ratio.
If you can only find tall traditional shaped bread loaves, just cut thick slices and make individual garlic bread slices instead!
2. Garlic - don't use a garlic crusher or garlic from a jar, the garlic is too fine and too wet so it will just splatter everywhere and burn too quickly in the butter.
