Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a mixing bowl, peel and mash the bananas finely until smooth and not lumpy.

Add melted butter along with granulated sugar and brown sugar to the mashed bananas. Mix well for 2 minutes.

Crack in the egg and whisk for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Add sour cream or Greek yogurt and vanilla bean paste. Mix well and set aside (this is your wet batter).

In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour, baking soda, and cocoa powder to combine (this is your dry mixture).

Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet batter. Add the 1/2 cup chocolate chips and fold to just combine. Do not overmix.

Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan.

Bake the bread for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Let cool completely before serving and enjoying.
