Ingredients

(Servings: For two people)

Steps

1
Utensils
2
Whisk, aka a wire whip.
3
A large bowl with a rounded bottom. Large bowl
4
Large spoon (plastic is fine)
5
Spatula (plastic is fine)
6
Pan for stove (or electric frypan)

Preparation

7
Place 1 cup of flour in a large bowl.
8
Add 2-3 cracked eggs. (Note: If you like fluffier crepes then separate the egg whites into a cup.
9
Beat the egg whites until foamy then add it back into the batter at the end.)
10
Whisk the flour and egg mixture and gradually add the milk bit by bit. (If you add too much milk at a time you’ll end up with lumps in the batter. Lumps are difficult to remove once they’ve formed.)
11
Mix until the batter is smooth and pours evenly. (Add the fluffy egg white if you made it.)
12
Time to heat up the pan using medium heat. Place a teaspoon of oil in the pan.
13
Once the pan is hot and the oil warm, pour about a 1/3 cup of batter into the centre of the pan using the large spoon. Tilt the pan around in a circular fashion to distribute the batter evenly.
14
(You may need to experiment with the first crepe. If you add too much batter to the pan the crepes become too thick and they won’t roll up nicely.)
15
After a couple minutes, using a spatula, lift a corner of the crepe to check the color. When it begins turning light brown or the batter is no longer shiny, flip it over. This can be done by using the spatula or flip it with the pan if you feel adventurous and confident!
16
Once one crepe is done slide it on to a plate to serve and immediately start making the next crepe. It is easier to make them when the pan is really hot and the batter pours easily. The longer the batter sits in the bowl the thicker it will get. You may need to add more milk to the batter after a while if it gets too thick.
17
To prepare the crepe add topping of your choice, roll it up and enjoy!
