Prepare the chicken by cutting it into serving pieces if using bone-in chicken.

In a large bowl, combine the minced garlic, minced ginger, oil, tandouri powder, yogurt, garam masala, and salt to create the marinade.

Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.

Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and nicely charred. The exact time will depend on the size and type of chicken pieces.

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill.

Brush the grilled chicken with ghee and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.
